If I don’t believe in me, how can I expect you to?
If I don’t value myself, how can I expect you to?
If I don’t love myself, how can I expect you to?
Everything I want for myself starts with me. It starts within me. I have to start the process before it becomes progress. I have to look within to love all of my existence throughout. I have to know that I am worthy and qualified before I can ask you to. This is my work. This is my job. I can’t look to the left or the right until I look in the mirror. I have to get to know myself and get inspired by the mere fact that I can do it. At the very least, I can try it.
Things are never easy, but I know I am worth it. I am worth fighting for. I know my life and dreams matter. What else is there to ask of you until I know the answers? How can I make demands when I am the one who needs to take orders. I order myself today to be proud of who I am. To see and know, but love all of my imperfections. I have to believe in me. Belief is an inside job.
